A supplementary mix for rodents and rabbits consisting of dried apple in the form of cubes and chips. As an easily digestible fruit, apple contains proteins, organic acids, fibre and vitamins: C, A, B1, B2, PP and B3 and minerals: mainly potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sodium, magnesium and iron. Potassium increases muscle tone while iron, as a component of haemoglobin, affects oxygenation of the body. It protects against ageing, has a beneficial effect on intestinal peristalsis and lowers cholesterol levels. Can be fed on its own, added to basic feed or mixed with hay.
