A favourite with chinchilla herds and small rodents
The enlarged house with two openings was created for herd animals that love to rest cuddled up together. Its dimensions are suited to a pair of chinchillas and larger flocks of degus, rats and other small rodents. The materials used in it ensure its longevity, are extremely comfortable and create a pleasant twilight inside the furniture. The design of the house has been thought out in such a way that it can both hang in high aviaries and stand on the ground or enclosure without falling over.
Reliable material for special tasks
Matt Velvet, from which we sewed the double rodent house, is a real star among other materials. It is extremely hardwearing, fleshy and you can wash it regularly in the washing machine without worrying about colour loss or losing threads. At the same time, it is absolutely not rough or unpleasant to the touch - quite the contrary. Pets love to cuddle up to its soft, silk-like microfibres.
The fabric that was used inside the house also has a super property. It has been thoroughly coated with a safe protective layer. And what does it protect against? From frequent washing! Every time any liquid drips on it, it will drip it on its surface for a while. Just wipe it down with a cloth every now and then, and you can keep it clean for longer without having to put it in the washing machine.
From the general to the specific
The double rodent house from the Tropical Forest series is not only beautiful to look at. We have refined its every detail to make it completely safe and durable. We have filled all its walls with resilient sponge, which will keep its shape both high and on the ground. We sewed all the pieces together using thick upholstery thread, and the handles themselves were made from strong webbing. We also made sure that there were no seams sticking out of the cottage that little paws could get caught in.
